The File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council

The File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council is a non-profit organization that provides a range of programs and services to 11 First Nations throughout Southern Saskatchewan within the Treaty Four Territory. The successful RN/RPN will work as part of the Health Services team, based at the "All Nations Healing Hospital" located in Fort Qu'Appelle, SK. He/she will work as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team, within a unique health care setting not available elsewhere.

Community Dietitian
This position requires a creative and knowledgeable individual to work with community health workers and First Nations Health Services staff to provide community nutrition services and promote healthy lifestyles among FHQ First Nations. The Community Dietitian will provide nutrition services and counseling within the diabetes program as well as working with the health team in planning, implementing and evaluating community nutrition services and programs. The office is located in the town of Fort Qu'Appelle, SK.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordination and delivery of the Metis, Off-Reserve Aboriginal and Urban Inuit Promotion and Prevention (MOAUIPP) Diabetes Program with the Diabetes Nurse Educator
  • Provision of diabetes counseling and prevention programming
  • Collaboration with community schools, daycares and head start programs to enhance the nutrition of children
  • Promotion of food security education and programs, such as the Good Food Box, community kitchens, and community gardens
  • Flexibility in responding to requests for nutrition programs and presentations to address community needs
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and an approved dietetic internship, or equivalent
  • Eligible for registration in the Saskatchewan Dietitians Association
  • Experience working in Community Nutrition an asset
  • Respect and sensitivity of First Nations culture and traditions
  • Must possess a valid drivers license

Home Care Nurse

Reporting to the Director of Client Services, the Home Care Nurse will be responsible for the assessment, coordination and provision of nursing care to clients living in their own homes.

As a member of the Home and Community Care Team you will assist in the supervision of home health aides, mentor nursing students, and participate in activities which promote the health of individuals and communities and further develop and enhance the Home and Community Care service.

Applicants must possess:
  • a degree/diploma in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing and be eligible for membership with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA) or RPNA.
  • A valid Sask. Driver's License

Preferred applicants will have:
  • nursing experience in acute or home care
  • excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of All Nations' Healing Hospital, this position works as part of an interdisciplinary health care team. This position will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of the new ultrasound service being established at ANHH. The successful candidate will be responsible for: setting up the unit and operation of the new equipment; coordination of patient booking system, provision of patient imaging, establishing relationships with professional services, ensuring of integration of service within ANHH.

Qualifications:
  • A Diploma in an accredited diagnostic medical sonographer program

Position Summary: Under the general direction of the Executive Director, All Nations' Healing Hospital, the Staff Scheduler/Supply Clerk maintains the purchasing department in accordance with All Nations' Healing Hospital policies and legislative requirements. He/she will also maintain staff schedules, adhering to collective bargaining agreements and replaces staff as required. This person will work closely with all departments of the All Nations' Healing Hospital to ensure/maintain a high quality of service delivery.

Qualifications:
  • Office Education certificate or equivalent experience
  • Intermediate computer and keyboarding skills
  • Interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of ACCPAC computer accounting program an asset
  • Ability to work independently

Key Activities Will Include:
